Our Experience

Our Experience

Since our conception in 1961, our staff has learned a lot about machining and stamping metal. We’ve been part of the industry from when manual and tape driven equipment was used to today, where you can progam a CNC machine from your desktop in your office. Our machinery has supplied our military from the Vietnam War all the way to the current conflict in Iraq. Lewis Engineering has seen the industry change and grow, but our quality record has always stayed the same.

Our History

Our History

Clayton and Roger Lewis started Lewis Engineering in 1961 with a contract to repair Army Jeeps during the Vietnam War. During the war, the two started manufacturing flares for the military. Since that time, the company has blossomed into a sophisticated CNC machining source. Today (47 years later), Clayton's grandson Steve and great-grandson Doug Lewis help keep their dream a reality. The company now produces various types of munitions and other components for a wide array of industries. Though many things have changed, our commitment to please the customer has not.
